Return and Refund Policy
CarsGauges offers a simple catalog of OEM like gauge faces for people who just want a clean swap between metric and imperial, without custom designs. If you ever need a fully bespoke design, that is available on GaugeFaces.com.
If anything is off with your order, contact us through the Contact page or reply to your order confirmation email, or email info@carsgauges.com and we will take care of it.
1. Definitions
In stock items
Items listed as available and shipped from our inventory. Our warehouse is located in South California (United States).
Items available on backorder
‘Available on backorder’ means the item is currently out of stock, but you can still place an order. Production typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on our workload. Any changes to a backordered item considered as a custom order.
Custom orders
Any order that is produced specifically for you, including custom designs, custom colors, custom logotypes, special backlighting requirements, or made to match your vehicle configuration.
2. Shipping timelines and what they mean for returns
In stock items ship in 2–3 business days. Backorder and custom items are produced first (typically 2–4 weeks, depending on our workload) and then shipped.
If you need faster production, you can add:
• Priority queue: $150 (production in 9 days guaranteed)
• Extra fast fulfillment: $250 (production in 5 days guaranteed)
Shipping time estimates:
• US: Free, usually 3–6 business days (USPS); Priority: $16, usually 1–3 business days (UPS)
• International: $19, usually 1–2 weeks (can be up to 5 weeks depending on customs and destination)
• Express: $60 (3–5 business days worldwide via UPS)
Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by carrier delays and customs processing. We cannot control factors such as postal worker strikes, weather conditions, peak season volume, local holidays, or other service disruptions. Customs delays are also outside of our control. Please make sure you’re familiar with your local import rules, processing times, and any applicable fees.
International shipping timelines strongly depend on destination. In many cases, most EU and Asia countries process and deliver international parcels within 1 to 2 weeks. Shipping to remote territories and islands may take longer.
3. Returns for in stock items
3.1 Return window
You may request a return of an in stock item within 14 days of delivery.
3.2 Return conditions
Returns are only accepted if the item doesn’t match the listing or has a significant production flaw.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be:
• Unused and uninstalled
• Free of scratches, fingerprints, bending, glue residue, tool marks, or other installation wear
If an item shows signs of installation or handling damage that prevents resale, we may deny the return or issue a partial refund at our discretion.
3.3 How to start a return
Email info@carsgauges.com with:
• Your order number
• The reason for return
• Photos of the item
If approved, we will provide return instructions.
4. Backorder items
Because custom orders (custom design, colors, logos, special backlighting, or made for your exact configuration) are made specifically for you, custom orders are not eligible for returns or refunds once production has started. We typically begin preparing production templates within 16–20 hours after payment is received.
GaugeFaces is a small team of professional designers and engineers, and we begin work on your order shortly after payment.
If you need to cancel or make changes to a custom order, please contact us immediately. Changes may be possible before printing starts. Once production is underway, cancellation is not possible.
4.1 Cancellations before production
If you need to cancel a custom order, contact us immediately.
If production has not started yet, we can cancel and refund your order.
Production typically begins within 16–20 hours after payment is received. Once production has started, cancellation is not possible.
4.2 Our quality and replacement commitment for custom orders
We stand behind our work. If your custom order has an issue, we will work with you until it is right. This can include redesign, repaint, or replacement as needed.
5. Wrong item, damage, defects, or quality concerns
We do thorough quality control, but human factor exists.
5.1 Wrong or damaged on arrival
If you receive the wrong item or it arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos. We will ship a replacement promptly.
5.2 Appearance or backlighting concerns
If the item does not meet expectations, especially appearance or backlighting, contact us with photos or a short video. We are committed to making replacements as needed to get it right.We do thorough quality control, but human factor exists. If something is wrong, we will fix it.
5.1 Wrong or damaged on arrival
If you receive the wrong item, or it arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Please include clear photos and a short description.
In these cases, we will ship a replacement promptly. Depending on the situation, we will also provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect or damaged item.
5.2 Defects, appearance, or backlighting issues
If the item does not meet expectations regarding appearance or backlighting, contact us as soon as possible with photos or a short video. We learn from each experience and continuously improve.
Our standard solution is replacement or remake until the result is correct.
6. Refunds
6.1 When refunds are issued
Refunds may be issued in these cases:
• Approved return of an eligible in stock item that meets return conditions
• Cancellation of a custom order before production starts
• Rare cases where we are unable to resolve an issue with a replacement (handled case by case)
6.2 Refund timing
Once we receive and inspect a returned item, approved refunds are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days to the original payment method. Your bank may take additional time to post the refund.
6.3 Shipping fees
• Shipping charges are generally non refundable
• If the return is due to our error (wrong item, confirmed defect, significant production flaw), we will handle the case fairly and may refund shipping or cover return shipping where appropriate.
7. Exchanges and order changes
7.1 In stock items
For in stock items, you can request an exchange within the return window, subject to availability
(additional payment may apply).
7.2 Custom orders
Custom orders can be changed freely before production starts.
If you request changes after production has started, we may still be able to accommodate them, but additional costs will apply depending on the stage of production and the complexity of the requested change. Contact us at info@carsgauges.com and we will confirm what is possible and provide a quote.
8. International orders, customs, duties, and taxes
International customers are responsible for any import duties, VAT, and customs fees charged by their country.
In most cases, we prepay customs duties when possible. However, some countries or local postal services may still request an invoice, additional verification, or extra payment from the recipient. International buyers are responsible for contacting their local customs authorities if needed.
If your local customs office or postal service requests anything additional, you are welcome to contact us at info@gaugefaces.com. We will help you resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
If a package is refused or returned due to customs or import fees, we can’t issue a refund. Customs charges and processing are outside of our control. Please make sure you understand your local import fees, regulations, and potential processing times before ordering.
9. Fitment responsibility
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct vehicle model and configuration. If you are unsure, email us before ordering and we will help confirm fitment. We don’t charge for consultations or pre purchase mockups. And if you can send a photo of your current cluster, it helps a lot so we can make sure everything matches perfectly.
